South American Spinach
1 1/2 cups spinach, chopped
2 green peppers, seeded and chopped
1 medium onion minced
3/4 cup tomato or vegetable juice
2 tbs raisins
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp monosodium glutamate
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbs dry bread crumbs
3/4 cup grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
2 tbs butter
Combine vegetables and arrange in a casserole dish.
Add juice, raisins, sugar, monosodium glutamate, chili powder and salt.
Sprinkle surface with bread crumbs and cheese and dot with butter.
Bake uncovered in a 350 * oven for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Serves 2 to 3.
