Spinach Soup

1 1/2 cups cooked spinach
2 cups milk scalded
2 cups boiling water
3 oxo cubes
1 1/2 tsp scraped onion
3 tbs butter
2 tbs flour
1 small tsp salt
dash pepper

Chop spinach, put through sieve. Add to milk, water and oxo
cubes in double boiler. Melt butter, add flour and seasonings
and stir well. Add a small amount of hot liquid and stir until
smooth. Return to double boiler and cook until slightly thickened,
stirring constantly.
